Aaargh—promoter collective Culture Shoq’s new heavy music division—started the Bombay Asylum series of gigs in June this year, to give metalheads in Mumbai something to look forward to every month. Most popular live music venues in the city have tended to ignore Indian metal bands in recent times, and Bombay Asylum is a much-needed shot in the arm for the metal community in Mumbai.
Bombay Asylum Vol. 3 featuring Atmosfear, SystemHouse33, and Petrichor.
The third edition of Bombay Asylum (“Blazin’ Axe”) will take place on Thursday, August 29, and will feature Atmosfear (death metal), SystemHouse33 (groove metal), and Petrichor (progressive metal). Atmosfear and SystemHouse33 are, of course, no strangers to fans in the Mumbai metal scene, and two-year-old Petrichor has been making waves in college festivals around the country.
