Mumbai City Dreams, Coming of Age
Four teenagers in Mumbai start hanging out at a solitary wall left standing after the razing of a slum. One of them, an aspiring street artist who calls himself Grafity, begins to paint on the wall a mural that will become the picture of their lives: Hinglish hip-hop, designer drugs, casual violence, and street-art.
Helter Skelter Magazine is proud to support Grafity's Wall, a new graphic novel set against the street culture of Mumbai's slums. Stories of love, crime, ambition, life, and death are told through the coming of age of four teens from the city's streets, where life is cheap and all dreams come at a price.
Brought to you by the creators of Black Mumba, a noir graphic novel also set in Mumbai, and Unbound, a crowdfunding publisher that gives people the tools, support and freedom to bring their ideas to life, this is an astonishingly vibrant and fresh look at the rebellion, expression, and acceptance painted against the backdrop of India's most culturally diverse city.
Support Grafity's Wall
Grafity's Wall is currently being crowdfunded. Helter Skelter Magazine has tied up with Unbound to offer readers in India a special discounted rate for the hardcover graphic novel as well as a unique A4 art print signed by all the creators if you support the project using the link below.
